Question Dials and hands for Baumgartner 866

    Hi there!

I need your help! I have a watch with BAumgartner 866 mvt but no hands! I would need diver hand (and possibly a dial) for it.....do you know what I could do to get those parts?

    Thanks!

Watches with that movement crop up on ebay from time to time. There seem to be lot in Argentina for some reason - too dear for me. I've been looking out for a cheap working movement myself.

    Alright thanks!

I'll keep looking! If you have some diver hands for the mvt and would sell them to me, let me know

Sorry - its not a diver. Its the twin of this one:

A watchmaker may have diver hands that fit.

Alright, thanks! I noticed that the "second" hand has a pin with which it is connected to the movement stem.....is this normal? I noticed that ETA 2824 Second hands have a hole in which the pin of the movement is put into......

AFAIK, most second hands on vintage watches have a tiny tube which fits over the centre pinion.

Thanks, interesting, the baumgartner i have uses a "stick" for the second hand which has to be inserted into the stem of the spring of the movement. So the other way round as "usual" then.....?
