Does anyone have an idea of what type of movement this is?

Please help me figure out what movement this is. I cant find a maker anywhere, and it seems like a very high end pocket watch movement.

    Thank you!

I might - but then, I would first have to see a picture!

Well, the best I can do is it's a Swiss chronograph movement of medium quality. Probably 100 years old or so. Someone will be along that knows more about these I'm sure.

Thank you very much! Do you have any idea of the value? Numbers of 47 and 13097 on the front. Thank you.

Definitely a Swiss chronograph movement but not of medium quality. It has a split balance with temperature screws, a Breguet hairspring, the stud holder is capped, so is the chronograph column wheel, it has seconds and minute totaliser.....

What looks exceedingly odd is that the minute totaliser does not seem to be at 3:00 or at 12:00 where it is frequently found in old chronograph pocket watches. More like at 2:00 (if crown is at the top) or at 5:00 (if crown at 3:00). Also, the "Slow" and "Fast" suggests that it was made for export to England.

What quality do you think it is? Any idea of the value or year of production?

    Thank you.

Quality? Looks rather above average (by the mere fact that it is a chronograph, it should be considered above average!). Year of production? This century, possibly already inter-war era. Value? Can't say - we don't do valuations here.

This century Hartmut? I think you made my common mistake and forgot that we've been in the 21st century for 15 years now... ;)
