    doxa pocket watch

    who can tell me more about this watch. i've received it from my uncle before he dieid 3 years ago.

    I'm interested about the fabrication date, place and type of the mechanism.everything you know.

    to have a chance at getting the information you are asking for, we will need decent pictures of the movement (mechanism inside). Beyond saying it appears to pre-date 1930 and could be a lot earlier, I can not say much. Others may venture further onto the ice

    We obviously think it's a Doxa. Probably around 1910 or so. The medals cited are 1906.
    Doxa does not have a serial number list available so we would not be able to give an exact manufacture date. We need to see pics of the movement to conclude much more.

    You got one of the cover's open on the back of the watch with that one open look at the second cover there should be a small opening along the edge of the second cover I use a case knife and put in that opening to open mine they call it a case knife or you can use a sharp pocket knife ray had something to a web site on how to open deferent style watch case's mybe he will see this and post for you.
