    E.Howard Series III

Here is a E.Howard series III with mershon's patent keywind and set from the back serial no 15936 made between 1861 to 1871 if any one can tell me the date that this watch was made that would be nice the records on old howard's or not that good the one's I found. I like Howard's for there history in american watch making he was one of the founder's of america's first watch factory with Dennison in Roxbury Mass. and it tuned into the Boston watch company there is more to the story but he formed a new company E.Howard & co.

Sorry. All you can do is try to interpolate and make a good guess. Likely after the Civil War - 1867 / 1868 maybe.
This one would be of great interest to Civil War reenactors, though.
