It's funny for me to post this on the same evening as another member posted his grail Patek Phillipe, but I think it's nice to show some new collectors that there are excellent watches to be had for modest prices, even on eBay. It isn't the style of watch I'd usually buy, but this Eterna-matic was just sitting there looking so lovely, and the the seller had it listed for a fair price but still had a Make an Offer listing. So I made an offer and got it for under $200. Very clean dial and hands, 35mm stainless case. Case appears to be unpolished with modest wear-and-tear.
The only possible issue is that the crown is unsigned, but it will be very difficult to determine if this is correct or not given that many Eterna models from this period had unsigned crowns. It's a perfect fit and I've found similar examples with unsigned crowns. Anyway, I don't like to fool myself, so I'm willing to accept it could be a replacement.
Serial numbers on movement and case are from the same year, 1960.
I can't read the numbers under the balance, but I believe it's something in the cal 1411 family. Very clean, but needs a service. You can see some green corrosion under the crown, but hopefully it is not too serious.
It came with a really nice vintage mesh bracelet (decent fit, but not perfect) and an old box. This really exceeded my expectations and will be well worth the price of a service to preserve this excellent watch.
