    Exclamation Eeeb's Temporarily Offline

Eeeb's hometown got Iked last Sunday and he's lost power and cable modem access for a while.
Our US mods took quite a beating from Ike and Gustav unfortunately. Eeeb and his family are OK and hopefully he'll be back soon.

Good to hear that no more damage was done than a temporary lack of access! Hope he will be back soon and overall not too badly affected - and the same for all the other US/Caribbean moderators, members and citizens in general!

Electrons are flowing again! Ohio was hit bad... there are still over a million households without power. But all things come to those who wait

Yeah, down here in Houston, we got hammered. Galveston will not be inhabitable for well over a month or so.

1.3 million people still without power (was 2.1 million). It'll be two or three more weeks before all power is restored to Houston (not counting Galveston)

A few friends had major damage to their houses.

Amazingly enough, yesterday there were still three quarters of a million folks without power in Ohio! (Ohio is over 1000 miles inland!!) These hurricanes can have far reaching effects.
