    Elgin Aquamaster arrival

Been wanting one of these for a while (even though it isn't a 'proper' Elgin). It came in a lot with another Swiss Elgin of gargantuan proportions.

Had to replace the calendar jumper spring and stem, but going great and on my wrist for the day. They both need a little crystal work to tidy them up.

I admit, it was the sextant that first got me , a few scrapes that need polishing out.

    And, finally wrist shot...

Sorry, no movement shots yet - I'll add them later (forgot to grab some when they were open).

Crystal polished up beautifully (Sunday morning )

Movement is a Cal. AS1893 / Elgin 994 - with ball bearing rotor and 25 Jewels - this is a very nice movement.

    Thanks EG.

This is one of my Eterna-Matics.

I really like this style, with the deep dials and hidden crowns. Which of course is why the Aquamaster appeals. Also cross hair dials - I have a weakness for them, so the watch ticks many of my boxes.
