Elves GMT diver watch - movement?

Do you have any information about Elves watch, or exactly about this one, specially the type of movement they used? I suggest Cupillard 233. Thanks.

    Hi MarosRy,

Suspect it may be this Cal. EB8804

bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: EB 8804

Need to see the movement to be 100%.

    Regards,

This has all the signs of being a low-end watch, especially the way they piled every goofy bezel possible onto the watch. It even has a tachymeter bezel without a sweep second hand. I also suspect a pin-lever movement.

Subsidiary seconds and date? Your Cupillard guess seems about right to me. Is the 2 o'clock crown to turn the inner bezel or to lock the outer bezel?

    2 o´clock - inner bezel turning
    4 o´clock - movement stem

:D maybe, but that´s not replacement for Doxa SUB, just nice piece of 70s divers for collection

I can't enlarge the pic's, but looks similar to cheap French pin-lever's from the early 70ties. Were sold in tabacco/newspaper shops for a few bucks. During the last few years you see these often on ebay as supercompressor watch.....

I guess Cupillard because in hand-wind Elves and Elvia watch that I found in auction or other sale with picture of movement - it was always Cupillard 233-66/67, so I guess they used it for all watches.

Elves made some solid and interesting looking watches. I have a project watch Elves with a day/date Cupillard (France Ebauches). While I searched online on french watch forums and french ebay none of them got a pin lever in it. But I admit that the similar case back is used on pin lever "divers".

Thank you for info, same here - no pin levers when I was searching through Elves and Elvia watch on internet :)
