    Ever heard of Herma?

    Hello all!

Yet another question about an obscure watch : Anyone here ever heard of a watch brand called "Herma" ? I found a Herma Deluxe , it's probably a 70s watch by the look of it.. Anyone know the make of the watch, how much they go for etc...

    :thanks

I believe it may be an FHF movement, but I am often wrong about these. Still, I doubt it is German.

It's not a Fontainemelon movement - it's french. If you check the exact positioning of the gears, screws and shape of balance cock, you'll find that it's a Cupillard 233 derivative:

The shape of the balance cock would have thrown me off.

Yup, it's a funny old thing, the Cupillard 233. I've got a few of them and they're mostly different in some respects. Here's but two of them, one with a different bridge from the OP's but the same balance cock, and one with the same bridge as R.R.'s example but with a different balance cock, at least to my eye.

    Regards.
