I can't get inside the case unfortunately as this is basically a garage sale, not a watch dealer. As in, three watches for sale with 200 other things.

I am sorry but there is no way we can safely say whether that is genuine or not - we can only guess. The picture is a little blurred, there is no movement picture, etc. The dial is black which is already a little suspicious - black dials used to be the rarest but are the favourite of rediallers since the black colour wipes out any defects. The writing and subdial are a little too new and shiny and on the whole, I think it is a redial. And if the writing on the dial isn't original, there is no way of knowing whether the insides are.....

But maybe, further evidence will surprise me.

All I have is the back of the case, which is presented here. I just don't think she's going to let me come over with my kit and open up the case unfortunately. I know the woman that is selling did not redial it and likely has no idea. That, of course, does not mean someone else did not do it originally before the first sale.

Hi guys, making use of this thread, in wich a lot of you posted very interesting info and seems you know what you are talking about. I will post a couple of images of a GP, and it will be really helpfull if you can guide me if its real or fake, and any other further information.

    Thanks in advance!
    Fernando.

Tampered with! The watch does, on the whole, look fairly convincing: correct movement (GP Cal. 27, based on the Adolf Schild Cal. AS 1130:

    bidfun-db Archiv: Uhrwerke: Girard-Perregaux 27 (AS 1130))

...and even the dial might basically be original and not repainted. Except that it has that horrible masonic symbol splashed on it post hoc, completely ruining it! We had a thread here recently, discussing these "masonic" GPs churned out in South America.....

Thanks for you answer and information! It looked like a really nice watch, that Masonic stamp confused me a little bit, but per your information, it seems it is an original GP own by a mason who stamped it later.
