    Favorite Vintage Straps/Bands/Bracelets!!!

I've been thinking about starting a strap thread for a while now and the mention of someone doing it in Preston's thread solidified my urge.
Feel free to post your interesting, cool, unique, special or just your favorite band/strap!

I've got a few I'll post up later

We've had a similar thread here a while ago,but surely the taste and range is changing: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f11/vin...ts-927678.html

I love vintage worn leather straps.Treat them with bee wax and leather care products. My favorites are shell cordovan, bonklips and interesting patented straps.

    Happy to see other strap-perverts here:)If I have 70 watches,I guess I have 300 straps and bracelets.

Ok here are a few of my favorites.
    1. A two-tone beads bracelet by Gemex. Made in the US and matches my Bulova Lieutenant well.
    2. The ever popular Forstner Komfit. This was practically NOS and is still stiff. Its on my 40s Gallet.
    3. This is an old Hadley US band that I don't know much about. Ive never seen another or this type of clasp set up. Its on my 65' Accutron.
    4. I don't like this band specifically as much as I like the style. Its a 60s JB Champion partial expansion, the fixed part is adorned with an etched linen pattern. Its on a 60s Waltham.
    5. Finally is a watch band I love but don't yet have a watch to put it on. It is an all steel Block and Ball pattern band similar to some that were on 60s Accutrons. All it says is Stainless Steel and a T in a circle.

There is an error in that. Thomas Firth was from Sheffield, not Newcastle. Firth Brown Steels - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But yes - Bonklips are great! http://milspectime.com/wp-content/up...P_HI-RES-1.pdf

And any excuse to show this:

Cool beans. Okay let me mark my spot here with this sweet Forstner, also nicknamed the astronaut band for it's ability to be opened to a diameter of 9.5" or larger depending on the watch case. Mine had been sized to fit 16mm but it started out at 18mm.

Here it is doing duty on the Bully Watertite.

I'll gather up the rest for photos including the Forstner.

    Peace,

    Here's some cool pieces.
Vintage nos Kreisler disco stainless piece, I don't think I'll ever find the right watch for it.

The gold, It's actually too big for me but it's just so beautifully crafted that I'm hanging onto it.

Forstner slide bracelet or also known as the astronaut strap.

Again the beautiful Kreisler heavy mesh.

Ultra 70's on period Timex, they were made for each other!

Some of you may remember this stunner of a vintage Kreisler.

And finally my all time favorite scissor expansion design, I just wish there'd made them full width 18mm types back then.

    Peace,
    Preston
