Favre Leuba and Gruen at the flea market

Here's a couple of cool finds at the flea market last week end, both work great and keep excellent time. Any info on those would be most appreciated!

The Favre-Leuba is unfortunately a Bombay Special- a bad quality Indian redial.

(Because if Ebay is any indicator, approximately 50% of the watches in India have a Railmaster dial.)

Usually you can spot where rust has been removed in the movements of these bombay specials also. On a good note, if you didnt pay too much, still a cool vintage wearable!

To echo bsshog40, it's no collector piece, but should have a legit FL movement inside. I have a similar Sea Chief 'straight outta Delhi' that has a pretty decent 2 barrel movement and runs well.

Encourage someone. The world has enough critics.

Well it just so happens that I like the looks of the ranchero (who doesn't?). The watch was 15 bucks, the Gruen, 3 dollars. After a good cleaning and with a new leather band, the leuba isn't half bad, my girlfriend will wear it a lot i'm sure! Way too small for me.

For 15 bones, I would have taken the gamble. You never know what you're gonna get at a thrift store. I've bought some stuff that turned out worse for sure.
