    FEF130 Hairspring Needed

Does anyone know where I might find a hairspring for a FEF caliber 130? Or even an alternate caliber number that might be a suitable replacement. My watchmaker says it’s a fairly rare model that was only produced for like one year and he doesn’t have the time to look for the part.

JimDon...some Material searches CAN be difficult...although I do not know this Caliber, I do think that your watchmaker should consider FINDING TIME to help you: this is his /her job, after all, and I daresay a good person could chase this part down fairly quickly, and charge you a fair price for the search.

And: there is a considerable cross-referencing of parts in Swiss watches: a spring for 'Brand X, Model #1', may well be the same thing that was used in 'Brand Y, Model #9'. Your watchmaker certainly knows this...

Good Hunting...you will find this part! Michael.

When you look at the staff's for this cal there is a wide range. Some have inca and some don't and it appears there is a difference in hairspring collet size. But the numbers above are for just a basic staff. So it appears that the 130 was used for more than one year on multiple configurations.

Look at the numbers for the set bridge. A long list of different cals. But they all share the same set bridge.

I have been looking for a hairspring too for an old FEF.
