    Hey all,

I FINALLY received my first vintage watch off Ebay. It says Lord Cornell on the dial and the movement says Shriro Watch Inc. It looks to be in decent shape, save for some cleaning and a new crystal. The watch seems to be keeping time, although I am sure it could use some adjustment. In any case, if someone has more information, that would be awesome!

Looks like something from the 1950s. The movement is by Adolf Schild, something from the AS 1336 family:

I can't find anything on "Shriro", nor on "Lord Cornell". Various hits for "Cornell", mostly with US affiliations, but nothing with just "Cornell".....

Mikrolisk has for 'Shriro' the 'Shriro Übersee-Handel GmbH', registered in Hamburg, Germany in 1953, and the 'Shriro Watch Inc.' of New York, registered 1955. Apparently the latter one even had been allocated an import code ('OYT'). Whether the two were related in any way I cannot say.

Thanks for the info! I will probably be taking it to the watchmaker to replace the crystal and get the movement serviced and regulated. It seems to be running a few minutes slow over 24hrs.
