    First Vintage Watch

I have a decent size collection but none of them are truly vintage. Was looking for a triple calendar possibly with moon phase. Picked up this Rima on ebay. Has everything I was looking for. Valjoux 90 movement. Winds real smoothly. Re-chromed case but dial is original. What do you think ?

    Very nice!

I avoid chrome, but the dial is nice, and the movement excellent.

    Congrats!

That re-plated case looks surprisingly good. Usually that results in a case looking like a soap bar; here, the edges and the overall finishing look really well done.

    Re: First Vintage Watch

Thanks for the feedback. Just gave it a wind and watching it run now. Will try setting the day/date/moon tomorrow. Fits well the case size is 35.8. That doesn't seem bad for a vintage watch and just about the size of a Datejust. The chrome does look pretty good. Probably moderated the price ($450) but I am a newbie and for a first vintage watch it didn't bother me. Let's see if I get hooked.......

Set the day/date/moon phase this morning. All adjusted easily. Needed a small tool to operate the pushers. On my wrist. Very happy at this point.
