Folding Pocket Watch Stand w/Magnifying Glass!

Picked this up today at the flea-market. Wow! Has ANYBODY here ever seen something like this? I know I haven't! If anyone can offer info on it, that'd be sweet.

My guess is sometime between 1890-1930, and that it's nickel-plated.

It's really meant for a bedside table (so that you just roll over, look through the glass and read the time), but I have no information at all about it...It's really quirky, though. I just love it!

That is very nice! Why buy a watch AND a desk clock?

    Kind regards

Why indeed!? With this handy device, you can have two in one! The convenience of a clock with the portability of a watch! It folds, it holds, it magnifies! It's got solid steel construction and shatter-proof rivets, a powerful magnifying lens AND its compact! WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT!? But wait, there's more! Call in the next 15 minutes...

Wow ..very nice peace and very useful. You get older and think about the light conditions in trains or hotels as this peace was made.

    Congrads and enjoy it

Look what was sold in Berlin last week by Auctiondata AG - more ornate than yours, but same principle. Circa 1900. Sold for 170 euros.
