    Fortis true line

Any insights on my new (to me) Fortis True Line? I love the way it looks and had an impulse buy. Keeps great time so far as well. I love the winding noise it makes when I move it.

Can't wait to get a proper brown band in it. Your comments and remarks are much appreciated.

Nice. I didn't know that they made them like that - the ones I've seen have all had the date window at 1:00. But with a day-date feature, I suppose that's more difficult.....

^ very true. I love the version with date window at 1 - particularly in the mint green colour.

The lugs on these look great especially.

UPDATE: I slapped a proper brown band in the True Line and I like the look - also keeping perfect time.

I wish it had the 1:00 date window as well, but this one has grown on myself with the broader lugs.

Nice to hear that it's keeping good time but if it hasn't been serviced in years, I'd still have that done. Otherwise, it may well not be a matter of a service the next time it goes in but one of parts replacement.....

Here's an ad showing your TrueLine, supposedly from 1967.

Nice to see that you still have the gold "crown" insert on the caseback - it frequently seems to go missing from old TrueLines.
