    Fortis trueline

I just received this vintage FORTIS this morning :

    It's a TrueLine model ; I didn't get much info on those

For those interested, it comes from here :
FORTIS TRUELINE AUTO VINTAGE SWISS MENS [email protected] | eBay

Date window @ 1h, never seen this before

I don't think the buckle is OEM.

The caseback shows heavy damage as it has been opened with excessive force

There should be an insert in the middle :
    To compare with another model

    (not my pic)

    Signed crown.

    Nice hey ?

    The very nice lugs

It's a small watch (35mm crown included) but it doesn't look too bad on the wrist, thanks to the 'added size' by the lugs

    I haven't opened it yet, so here is a seller's pic :

    So far, it's doing great

great looking watch love the date window, its a shame about the back looks like someone didn't have the right case back opener and just used a screwdriver and an hammer to open it. Would be great if you could find another case back. other then that a great looking piece is it keeping time okay?

The date window at 1:00 was a characteristic of the Fortis Trueline. Typical for the avant garde character of its age (late sixties/early seventies). The movement is an ETA Cal. 2452 or similar:

I reckon something went very wrong indeed

No big deal as the caseback is hidden most of the time

The watch keeps great time, maybe a bit fast ; I'll check that in a few days.

    Re: Fortis trueline

I'm out of luck these days

After my almost DOA Titus, now I have a problem with the FORTIS

The cristal felt minutes ago, with the dial ring
Now I need to glue those back… or I'll most likely take it to the local jeweler ; I have my Poljot which needs another cristal too

    bummer

    Re: Fortis trueline

Congrats! The Trueline has been on my radar for quite sometime.
Even in my top 10 vintage "grails," however I got lucky and found a Fortis Skylark on the cheap and picked it up instead.

Just recently got it back from my watch guy.
    Since it's a front loader and I don't have a crystal remover, can't get a movement pic.
But enjoy these other photos I took earlier.

Not a Trueline, but I'm pretty pleased with my Skylark!

    Reno and b06 like this.
I've got more Converse sneakers than watches, but it is a close race.
