    Question Francis Du Bois "Equilibrium"

I have inherited a gold pocket watch labeled: Francis Du Boise PROM LUCLE. It is wound with a key and has a grayhound ingraved over the wind stem. I have not been able to find any information about this company/watch. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Any pictures would be greatly appreciated too!

Generally key would watches are from the middle 19th century and earlier. Beyond that its hard to tell without pics, especially of the movement.

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Please read our sticky about vintage watch identification. Swiss watches in particular are difficult to identify without pictures as there were many makers who are obscure & serial number lists were never published if a serial number exists at all.
You can find Swiss keywinds as late as the 1890s, but we really won't be able to tell you much without photos.
