    The Fusee Experience - pocket piece

    Picked up my first fusee pocket piece. Looked for a while, educated myself then made the jump for a really nice piece. next sunny day will snap some pics myself these are not mine but it looks much better than the pics! Delicate things just don't wind past the stop. Keeps excellent time. Love these chain driven things a work of art they were

    Anyone else have a fusee piece?

    Lovely piece and thanks for posting. It's in beautiful condition form the look of it. Assume it's an English maker.
    I can't see that case hallmarks but that would give a good clue as to its age. My guess would be 1850-1880 just from the look of the movement.

    Yep you close, 1878! And yes signed Hilser Bros.....Cork.

    will see if I can get some pics tomorrow it is actually residing in my pocket, hey have to test it
