    Gadgets and Oddities.

Adam gave me an idea with his posting of a ladies powder compact disguised as a wrist watch the other day.
Here I will post as and when I find them, some "gadgets and oddities", and hope you will post your own too!

This from 1945, a clear plastic wrist band.

This one is from 1922, a golf shot counter worn on the wrist.

This ladies wrist coin purse is from 1913.

Here is an excellent thing, a wrist, pocket, and lapel watch, all in one!
It is from 1917, and possibly made by Depollier as written in the ad.
Sorry, this comes in two parts.

This amazing alarm watch is worn on the wrist or ankle, and a cord tightens when the alarm goes off!
Wonder what happens if you are a heavy sleeper!

Hahah very nice. Especially that alarm watch. Imagine you slept on your arm or something and lost your feeling and that cord tightens and tightens your wrist until your hands are blue. You wake up as an alien with blued hands and hope you are not late to keep that hand in place.Mankind, and his ideas....:)

So, you think having your blood supply constricted a little is bad?

    What about being burnt???

    Re: Gadgets and Oddities.

That's a new one on me. The ad literally says the watch will Scorch you. Probably no great wonder why I've not heard of this company.

I don't have a photo, but there are several companies that put a compass on the watch. We had one on the forum that was sent around the world between members.

Does the little metal calendar attached to the wrist band count? Like the ones we've seen from the 50's & 60's

That looks like it would be an absolute hoot to wear and use.
