I have just joined this forum and would like to introduce myself and possibly ask for some advice on one of my collection. I have been collecting watches for the last 10 years and now have about 30. Just recently I have been looking at chronos, specifically Angelus, EP and Gallet. I have recently purchased a Gallet chrono that I cannot for the life of my identify. After spending hours exhausting Google, I am concerned it may be a franken and any advice would be great. I'm sure the case is genuine as it is stamped Gallet with 61244 case number however it doesn't conform to any Gallet model I can find having a case size of 31.5 mm.
The movement has a Gallet marked bridge together with the JXR import stamp but I cannot identify the movement, At first I thought it was a Venus as it is somewhat similar but it has quite a few differences and its not an EP. The dial and fingers also look correct. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it doesn't appear to be referenced anywhere? Any help would be much appreciated.
