Getting to the movement for this UG

Have a vintage Universal Geneve that I need to get a good shot of the movement.
But appears to be a front loader.
I am able to take the crystal off, but then stuck on how to get underneath the dial.
Don't want to pull the crown out too far and do any damage, so hoping someone might have a suggestion as to how I can get a look at what's underneath the hood?

I've got more Converse sneakers than watches, but it is a close race.

More than likely a split-stem so you will have to pull it out hard enough to split it.

Agreed, most likely a split stem. Try using watchmakers' tweezers if you have them. Put one prong under each side of the crown and shimmy gently. It's probably release.

    Thank you both.
Makes me really nervous to test that theory of it being a split stem.

Yea I always get a little nervous pulling a split-stem. I've gotten dirty old watches that were split-stem, knowing they had to be pulled to get to the movement. I've been lucky tho' as I've never broken one no matter how bad the watch looked. I usually pull it apart in one of 2 ways. Sometimes I can get a good grip on it with my thumb and 1st finger and pull it out straight. If that don't work, I get me a pair of thin tweezers (Dumont 5) and place them evenly under the pulled crown and gently pry outward. Would be wise to do this in an area that if it comes loose to fast it don't fly across the room. Lol
