    Girard-Perregaux with Automatic on dial instead of Gyromatic

    Hi all,

    I must have looked at hundreds and hundreds of posts and images. Starting to doubt the authenticity of this watch that shows "Automatic" on the dial while most everything I've seen had either had "Gyromatic" or just nothing. So does this look like the real deal?

    I've seen a few marked the same, the movement looks fine but I couldn't find it with a quick search on Ranfft, an AS I believe.

    Indeed, it's not the GP plus consortium adaptation of the AS 1687 but instead a pretty ordinary Adolf Schild calibre, something from this movement family:
