    Girard Perregaux help

I have been offered the watch below in response to my WTB for a Girard Perragaux, I originally wanted a Deep Diver SS and have not seen this model

I have requested further information and pictures of the watch

A few things that don't seem quite right are the seconds hand (new replacement) and I'm unsure as to whether the dial has been re-finished / re-painted.

Happy to be proved wrong on both accounts but looking for more information on this model

    Thanks

Tough to tell from the pic but the dial looks ok to me. Lume appears decently aged and the hands seem to match, the font looks ok as well. The seconds hand is definitely off but can be replaced. More pictures will definitely help.

Thanks for your reply, here are some additional pictures from the selleR

I would be careful as Girard Perragaux seldom put the jewel count on the dial as upper brands didn't do this and shouldn't it say Deep Diver instead?

That was my thought originally and what I have found with a quick google image search. I'm not that up to speed so wasn't sure if there was an obscure model where this may have been the case, thought I'd open to the more knowledgeable crowd.

Also on the movement there usually says 17 jewels with letters as well as with numbers.

Yeah with those additional pictures there are too many small discrepancies for me. Hopefully someone well versed in GPs can tell you for sure.

    Re: Girard Perregaux help

I stay away from Girard Perragaux in most cases as I know to little about the brand exception being the early quartz models.
