    Girard Perregaux project

    Hey Cats,

Well here we have it assembled, it wants to run but it won't release the hack lever. Looks like it's going into the shop for an estimate to get it running. Wish me luck.

Sometimes I wish I didn't find things like this. So close but so far away :-/

    Peace,
    Preston

    Re: Girard Perregaux project

"Sometimes I wish I didn't find things like this" ? Oh boy do I know how that goes. I bought my Hanhart cal 40 for less than $20, and stared at it in my project box

for about 5 years before I decided to take the plunge and restore it. Before that, I stared at a Hamilton "Oval" with worn out lugs, stayed in the watch box for years....

My current non-project I have been staring at is a Hamilton Super Compressor. NO crystal, and impossible to find.

I have mastered the art of buying cheap projects that never seem to end.......
