    Gisiger Greder Son

    You'll all want one:

The crystal isn't as badly scratched as it looks. The mystery dial, instead of a second hand, produces a kaleidoscopic effect in the middle and a glittering effect on the rim.

The movement is Baumgartner 866 with 1 jewel, and it keeps very good time.

Not quite a Borel cocktail watch, but close.

No. I've only got a quite simple camera. It does a few second of 'movies', but I've tried several times and its either too far away to see it or too out of focus to see it. Sorry Erik.

Actually that's a Bettlach 8800 But it's still a really cool relic of the '70s.

I can tell you're having a lot of fun with it.

Silly me - I got confused with another watch I was listing on ebay with a a Baumgartner 866. Yes EB 8800.

I know those "cocktail" watches are geared towards the ladies, but that is one fun kaleidoscopic effect regardless of gender.
I've got more Converse sneakers than watches, but it is a close race.

    Re: Gisiger Greder Son

Thank you. Its an uncommon brand. One here:

    http://www.watchtalkforums.info/foru...n-sparkys.html

The company can be found in lists - Fabrique d’Horlogerie B. GISIGER-GREDER Selzach

but is pretty obscure. One point, the crystal on this is very high sided with a flat top - not at all easy to replace.
