    Given Two Antique Watches Today

My 81 year old uncle mailed me two watches. A 1953 Bulova which he bought new and a watch marked "Cornell" and "Incabloc" which belonged to his wife's late husband who died in an auto accident in 1952. The gentleman was wearing the Cornell when he passed away and it has had a shattered crystal for the past 60 years.
I intend on wearing both watches from time to time as both still run and keep good time. I am going to have my watchmaker look at both tomorrow and also switch out the Spiedel expandable band on the Bulova with black leather to match the dial.
Does anyone have any info on the "cornell" watch? It is a Swiss made watch in the "Military Style" that you see lots from that era.
    Thanks

Please excuse the blurry phone pic

The only Swiss "Cornell" I can find is a brand of Schlup & Co in Lengnau, the company that is now Rado. A typical 1950s watch, but not necessarily "military style".

By "military style" I meant the dial. Numbers 1-60 mapped out and a sweeping round the dial red second hand. Reminds me of the old WWII watches but it's a civilian watch :)

The Bulova appears to be a "President" model only with a black dial. All of them I find online have white dials. Good 21 jewel movement.

I do like those 1950's US models that held on to the old style of cases many years after us over here as they really are stylish. I also love how Bulova made cases that hide the fact that there is a big round movement inside.
