    gold coin watches?

    Hi

    Guys do you know who was making this type of watches that uses geniue gold 20$ coin? I know corum, piaget, baume & mercier, who else?

    Always wanted one since I was a teen. Almost pulled the trigger last year but didn’t. I just didn’t think I would feel comfortable wearing one. Still love them though.

    Also made by a number of companies. Rolex, Vacheron, Patek, Gubelin

    They're cool, but a pain in the ass and soon get tired of the novelty. Every time you want to check the time. You end up looking at the coin face which means having to press the spring loaded lid to check the time.

    Some a little easier to use if button sticks out. Harder if button is flush

    Vacheron model - watch or pocketwatch



    In 1981. Local jewelry store had a Vacheron PW model and $1000 price. Today. Maybe a little over $3,000 today. Would have done better investing

    There are some gold filled models out there. Not as slim as the genuine, but still interesting. I bought one and had it converted into a wristwatch and got bored with it after a month or so

    i prefer the one that have hands on the coin than those that are hidden inside of the coin
