Very nice! Seems to be a bit obscure as a brand, but Terrasse Watch Company S.A. is listed here:

    http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=8...ed=0CC4Q6AEwAA

as being in Le Locle, Neuchatel, Switzerland.

    Also:

    http://www.servinghistory.com/topics/Le_Locle

    And according to http://www.etsy.com/listing/46668387...-gustave-jacot

Terrasse watch Co. founded in 1881 by brothers Bernard and Gustave Jacot.

But I know nothing about pocket watches, so await those who do. Reminder - WUS is out of action tomorrow.

That beautiful hunting case is showing a sings of "art nouveau" style,so its not hard to guess the time when it was made. One of the big hands is not original,so as second hand.

    Thanks for your replies.
The connection to Jacot seems to be true. I found an quite similar looking symbol of an eagle on the globe here: http://www.mikrolisk.de/show.php?site=280#sucheMarker
It says "Jacot Freres" - Jacot Brothers.
It is not exatly the same brand on the movement, but quite similar.

So, Terrasse / Jacot seems to have been manufacturer?

    @jedanzoom
how do you now about the hands? Wich big hand seems to be not original? Arent these oriental style hands?

    btw,
Centennial International Exhibition 1876 was in Philadelphia. So it seems the watch was made in memory and not in that year?

They are not similar style hands:minute one is Luis XIV style hand, and with the other one(hour one) I'm not familiar.Second hand should be gold one too.

You seem to be right. But here http://www.mikrolisk.de/show.php/281 it seems, that the minute one might not even be Luis XIV.

The case is very interesting in that the dog in the foreground is very well done, while the dog farther back. exibits the cartoonish qualities often seen in late 19th century animal engavings. It's rare to see the contrast in one engraving.

    Thanks for your replies!
In Pritchard: What is meant by "KW watch"?
There ist mentioned a silver huntig case. Hm...
When this watch is in memory of Centennial International Exhibition 1876 in Philadelphia, what has the huntig scene to do with it?
