So I used to think Ryte Time was the obvious place to go, but I understand he has retired now?
I have quite a list of 30's-40's period watches which need servicing - is there anyone recommended in the UK for this type of thing? Only one of them is actually faulty but (winding 'slips') and I have a spare matching movement in a really horrible case to use as parts to repair it. The rest are just ones I picked up over the past 3-4 years on ebay which arrived, were tested, worn once or twice then stored in my watch box as they had an unknown last service date.
Reasonable price and/or turnaround is obviously best if possible, but a couple I've never seen a matching example of and I want to be sure they'll come back as nice as they were sent. One of the Gruens especially is a treasured item.
Recommendations appreciated - it's time I got this done!
