    A grail arrived today

I was looking a long time for an nice priced UG polerouter no date and last week I've found one and I'm very happy with it I can tell you

I've used the knowledge from this site to get a bit info about the Poleroueter and it helped to find a nice one: Polerouter

As far as I know now, it's a 1955-'56 1st model 215-1, from the sellers pics I thought it needed a new crystal but it doesn't so I've bought myself a little lot of original Polerouter crystals for the future

The pics I've made doesn't do right to the imo awesome dial that looks as it is brown marble-topped. The movement looks clean and ok and it runs like a new one.
So I'm a very happy person today I can tell you

Here are a few pics I've made:

I'm open for + or - comments just for my learning process.

    Thanks for looking!

    Cheers, Frans

    Nice pick up there

I had to look twice (or more) at the dial, as at first thought it had some serious patina, but then read the text to see it should be like that!!

It is an unusual dial, and I'm not sure I've sen one like it before??

I'm liking that micro rotor too!!

    Thanks Johnny!

It was a good thought because it's patina but a very nice looking marbled patina imo.
I can not catch it on a pic as I would but believe me irl. it's awesome.

Wow! That's a very very nice and unusual watch. Congrats! I like it!

Do I see a shock protection device on the escape wheel? :O

Please try to take a sharper picture of the dial, I haven't seen one like that before. Looks interesting. And you managed to find one where the rotor has not been grinding on the inner caseback - good.

That's the best combination of lug shape and chapter ring. Nice grab.

Thanks all for your nice comments, it's much appriciated

This is the best I can do with my digital Canon in macro position, I'm sorry

I have also ordered a nice Hirsch rainbow brown lizzard for it, didn't have a 19mm strap in the house

    Wow....that's some dial

Are you holding the camera above to take the piccy??

On my point & shoot digi camera, the flash doesn't work when in macro mode, so it takes longer to take the pic, (longer exposure??) so always looks a tad blurry as I can't hold it that still, so I put the watch on it's side & camera close by on a flat surface to get a sharper shot!!

I've got a mini tripod 'somewhere' which I'll have to find and use!!

One of these is still on my list and has been for ages.

Well done, another great addition! Although mostly I am just a little jealous yet again
