My parents presented me with my Great-Grandfather's pocket watch recently, which to me is a very cool piece. Not sure when it was last running, but I wound it up to test if it is operational and sure enough it started ticking and ran all night. You will see in the photos there is some bubbling on the face, however that is on the underside of the crystal only and is not on the dial. I have done a little research and found the following:
Hamilton Catalog 1920 - Vintage Watch Forums
Vintage Hamilton Watch Restoration: 1920 17 jewel 974 Pocket Watch
The biggest thing for me is, who has suggestions for where to go in the general Baltimore/DC area to get this serviced and to have the crystal replaced? Any other thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks for looking.
