    Yup, I've seen that, he seems to buy on the basis of value and not a lot more

    Knowledge or not, that's a pretty awesome collection. Looks like he lives in North Scottsdale or Pinnacle Peak, based on the area images.

    Adam i thought the same thing. I quite like the Hodinkee videos as a whole but the talking watches are good segments. Unfortunately most of the people don't have much of an idea. The latest one uploaded yesterday i think has some basketball guy who if you ask me has no idea at all. The guy can barely string a coherent sentence together much less indulge in the world of horology.

    Huh..? How do we know his horological knowledge is poor?? Am I missing something..? Collecting means different things to different people...Just because you collect something doesn't mean you have to know what every screw in the machine does...Sounds like a lot of arrogant opinions here....
    Yup nice collection....

    No arrogance at all from my side.
    but his explanations like where the name perpetual came from, HOROLGY on self winding, and complication of perpetual calendar were all incorrect.

    Really...You obviously have little insight to how your posts often come across Adam...perhaps you could have said "he made a few mistakes" and corrected them for us all to learn..."His Horological knowledge is poor" is a stretch at best and making a judgement from a few minute video.....mmmm....pretty sure that's a bit arrogant....but that's my opinion and you and others may disagree....Part of the reason I rarely post anymore....AFAIK his summation of perpetual was correct...Not sure what you mean by complication of perpetual calendar though...Perhaps you can enlighten us....

    His knowledge must be more than adequate, as he put himself through medical school by buying and selling these watches.

    I listened to him and he seemed to know more than enough about his watches.

    @jackruff,
    I totally agree.
    Judging someone over a 12-minute video, during which Mr. Singer barely brushed the subject of his watches functions, only their rarity and (undoubted) beauty, smacks of "watchsnobbery".

    What an amazing collection, certainly this man has fine taste, and he really needs nothing more than that.

    Wow, 'let he who casts the first stone'.

    I'll bet this collector could instantly discern a cheap Chinese watch with fake moonphase (sun and moon 24hr dial)
    from the genuine artical.
