    Hamilton electric 505 runs slooooow

This watch is a puzzle. I have cleaned it and inspected it at least 4 times. The contact on the balance is clean. I've replaced the hairspring. No chipped or cracked jewels. Wheels look good. God knows its not dirty. Still loses about 30 sec an hour. Could it be out of beat? Maybe escape wheel contacts? Don't know what I'm looking for on that funny escape wheel. Bad coil? Help!

    I've replaced the hairspring.
I think that's your problem right there. Each hairspring was individually vibrated to a specific balance wheel. Hairsprings are not interchangeable without being vibrated again. Try using the original hairspring.

You should check the coil just in case but it's very, very unlikely that it's a factor.
