    Hamilton LED Watches

I am hoping to get some info on these Hamilton LED watches I picked up. Im not sure if they work or not since I haven't tested anything yet. I wasn't 100% sure on what kind of battery to throw in. Im hoping someone can tell me when these were produced, or at least if they are early or later 70s models. The two models visually look the same but there are some details that show they are different. First off a pic of the two in question, one is SS and the other is gold filled.

The first difference I noted was the way the bands are secured to the center lug. On the SS version the fixed bar at the end of the band slides into a small groove on the lug where on the gold version an extra piece sandwiches the bar onto the lug. (should have taken better pictures of that!)

Inside the case back of the gold watch it says "lancaster, PA" where the SS does not.

The movement in the gold watch is labeled as a Hamilton 913, SSIH-Quartz 506 F1.

The SS movement is labeled as a Hamilton 915

Any info that can be shared on these would be a great help, and also what batteries to try!

    Regards,

    Agreed. Movements look the same.

From the site: "Note! They take 301/386 batteries so do not attempt to fit 303/357!!!"

Let us know if they fire up!

    HAMILTON QED FRONTIER LED 1975

    Regards,
Great find and great info! On the inside of one of the battery compartments of the SS version I can see where it says FR2003 so according to the article it would be a later version. There is another article with a picture of a movement labeled 913 (same as gold) and the watch is from 1975. That would put the gold at approximately 1975 and the SS at approximately 1977 it seems. Any ideas why they would have removed "Lancaster, PA" from the case back in that time? The pic also shows how the batteries should be installed which is a bonus. I'll try to pick up some batteries and test tonight!

Dear All, I am a new user, but an elder reader of this master forum.
I need you advice for a 1975 Hamilton QED II Watch I recently bought, but cannot use because the bracelet is short. I would need a supplemental link for this bracelet... Any suggestion or even help ? Thank you all, kind regards from Switzerland Laurent

    Re: Hamilton LED Watches

Welcome to the forum. It looks like a lovely piece.

Short of finding a parts one with a dead module for cheap, I only have the following inelegant suggestions:

    https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band...kle-extenders/
    https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band...kle-extenders/

It's a US based site, but the parts are standard enough that you should be able to find a supplier in Europe with them.
