Question A Haste watch with a valjoux 23

    Hi mis amigos!!
I ask for your kind and expert opinion about a watch I recently bought in the "flea market" (mercado de chácharas as is known in Mexico).
This is a Haste cronograph from the 40´s 50´s (to my knowdlege the Haste brand is totally unknown all around the world ,except in my country), but in my experience with this kind of vintage watches, many of them were manufactured with very interesting calibers inside.

In this particular case, I found a movement that seems to be a Valjoux 23 (Am I right?), not signed and without a shock protection device.

Could you please tell me more about this caliber and its relationship with the 72 ?

    Thank you in advance

PS Sorry for the pics, I promise to improve them in the future

It's a Cal. 23 - the Cal. 72 has a tricompax arrangement including an hour totalizer.

Congratulations on your find - dial is a little spotted but clear enough and the movement is certainly in good state.

Please post pictures of both the dial and movement inside, if possible. This is necessary for any identification.

As stated in another thread we don't do valuations here. Please read our sticky notes for reasons why.
A watch with lots of diamonds and a gold case generally has more value as a piece of jewelry than as a timepiece.
