Re: Helo to identify a sellers watch

    Hi Renoldi,

this Bauhaus design was actually a long seller, and without seeing the movement (and often even knowing the movement) it can't be dated more precisely than between 1935 and 1945. I have many in my archive, but only one were the year is definitely known:
bidfun-db Archive: Wrist Watches: 245: Gents Junghans Manual Wind, Tank-Shape, 1938

If the lugs are fixed like at your watch it is likely from the beginning of this periode. If it has a steel case, more likely from the end of the periode. But both is not sure; high grade watches got stainless cases earlier, low grade watches had even later no spring bars.

Here another watch, which is similar to yours:
bidfun-db Archive: Wrist Watches: 456: Gents Alpina Manual Wind, Tank-Shape, Steel, ca. 1935

It has a high grade movement and an all steel case (no chromed top). Moreover on the movement a Patent from 1932 is mentioned, which is missing on later samples of this movement calibre. So it is more likely from 1935, but I still can't be sure.
