Help choosing my first vintage Swiss

Which one has the best caliber and would be the best option? Should I consider O&W and Sandoz? Most watches have the price of 200 USD and the Mido and Longines are ~270 USD Thank you very much!

Re: Help choosing my first vintage Swiss

I will offer a different perspective, because I do not find the Longines appealing; the case looks like a big blob of steel, with no shape or style. My subjective opinion. Also, while I don't know what movement is inside, I think that this is a 1970s watch, which is after the golden age of Longines. So while Longines is a more prestigious brand name, I don't like this example particularly.

Personally, I like the Movado. It has a nice vintage style, a clean no-date dial and the case isn't badly polished. Obviously I would like to see the movement, but the price is fair. My only concern is that the minute track appears to be poorly aligned in some places, but the logo looks good and well-aligned to me, so I don't think it is a total redial. Obviously, this watch is probably smaller than the Longines, so you should consider that as well.

The Mido looks legit, but the style is not as appealing to me.

I am suspicious of rat O&W and the Sandoz.

Have you considered a Certina? Good value: https://www.ebay.com/itm/certina-vin...19.m1438.l2649

Thanks a lot for the detailed comment about all the models and for the suggestion! Unfortunately the seller does not send to Brazil... I found this Certina-DS2 9probably 70s too, due to the case design), but the dial does not look good(same price as Mido and Longines)

That dial does not look good to me, I'd avoid that watch. Here's another Certina in the same price range. Just a little damage around the outside of the dial, but not bad overall. The seller says it has a case-back inscription, so you should ask to see photos of it.

I like the Longines the best. My second choice would be that Movado. It has a classic look to it.
