Was out at the mall last night and the jewelry/watch shop had tables and table of estate items out in the hallway. One of these tables said "Watches $3". Suffice to say, at that price I have no willpower. But I saw this gem in the pile.
Dial says Zodiac Custom Swiss
Crown is Signed
Dial is Clean
And my macro lens failed me on the movement shot. Caseback says "Stainless, 10kt RGP Bezel"
Movement is an FEF 373, which I couldn't find in the archives, but it's standard Swiss 6.75'''x8''' architecture similar to a Bulova 6BA I have. Marked Zodiac 17j KXF. FEF 373 is under the balance.
My limited experience tells me late 50s to early 70s. Anyone able to narrow it down?
It lost ten minutes overnight, so it'll need a service before I give it away. The clean inside caseback confirms this one has never seen a bench since the factory. The Mrs. already took one look at it and said no way she'd wear it, not that it surprised me.
