    Question Help finding Elgin repair/rebuild

I was given an Elgin pocket watch that was my great grand fathers, but it has no crystal and the minute hand is broken, and I'm sure it need to be overhauled.

I'm in California, but looking for a reputable repair person(s).

    Thanks in advance

    Try http://www.watch-clock-makers.org/

Their search function is pretty bad so enter the entire state of California and look for what is close. This list is a lot better than just trying jewelry stores but you may find some are more comfortable working on vintage Elgins than others.

    Good luck!!

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

I had found a place out of Nevada online that specialized in Elgin "rebuilds" where you could send them you watch; it had prices etc., but now I can't seem to find it and dummy me I forgot to put it in my favorites.
