    Help ID-ing an Eterna Matic

I picked up a beautiful Eterna Matic. The serial number suggests it dates to 1958--can anyone help me identify the movement? I'm thinking 1412 or 1414.

The 1412U and 1414U look almost identical, but they differ in size- one is 12 lignes, the other is 13 lignes in diameter. So you'll need to take a measurement yourself. The thing is, that the movement family that both belong to has a fair bit of calibres in it. Did you check the differences between the movements listed in Ranfft? Like, is it a date or no-date? Domed dial, flat dial?

    Hi joeabroad,

Please check red circled region in the picture. As far as I know, for Eterna movement the ID number is engraved under the balance wheel.
