Help identifying an old Girard Perregaux

    Dear fellow watch enthusiasts,
I found this vintage Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic watch, which looks very much flieger/pilot-like. However, I am unsure about its age.
It has an automatic movement. The caliber is a GP 47BF, which, according to the (ever useful) Ranfft website, is based on the ETA 1256. It seems the movement dates back to the early 50s.
Would anyone be able to help me with the identification of this watch?
    Looking forward to your input!
    Cheers,
    Loïc

I have dated this from the movement pics on the ranf website and some original GP adverts i found on google images

I got to say that is in fantastic condition, well done on a lovely item and I would say its dated before this one.

I have a real love for these, as they started me collecting vintage watches

Looks similar to this manual-wind Seahawk that I have had for many years. When purchased, it was advertised as originating from 1946.

Thanks guys! I think the dial kinda looks like late 40s, but it doesn't match with the movement's caliber. So, I think I'll settle with early 50s then!
