    Help identifying this old Omega

    Hi there,

Can anyone tell me about this watch? When it might be from, the model name, etc? I'd sure appreciate it!

Well, the movement appears to be an Omega 500 or 501.
I think it might be related to the KO 2846:
    OMEGA Watches: Vintage Watches Database
The key feature that makes me think so is the description of hands (lumed dauphine hands), and the movement (500/501).
Though this one looks similar as well:
    OMEGA Watches: Vintage Watches Database
Searching by the reference number gives no results.

The caseback also has a reference starting with a GX- there are three models with that letter code listed in the Omega database, and all belonged to the "American collection", i.e. were made for the US market only. All three share the cal. 500.

I started to care about my watch collection and horology in general a few month ago, three years after my retirement, too late to ever come up to your level of knowledge...

All I would have gotten out of these partly blurry pictures is a slightly too wide, 18mm leather wrist band.

Very nice piece. Indeed one of the "international collection", from the 50's. Condition looks very good, the crown is the wrong one though.
It should have the four-leaf clover crown.

    Here's the GX 6267:
    Name: 20141225_151953.jpg
Views: 135
Size: 57.3 KB
The hands on the 6267 have no lume, unlike the OP's. The OP's watch also has a wider bezel. The two are very similar though.
