Inherited an Anatomic that belonged to my grandfather. I've looked through the web and found lots of references of course, but never to one with the 24 hour markings. Its interesting to me that doing this blocks out the five point pentagon Eterna ball bearing trademark. Is this a redial? I would not have expected my grandfather to do that, not his kind of thing to go that deep. He would have just bought a different watch.
When it came to me it would not run more than a couple seconds after giving it several swings. I sent it down to the city for a general overhaul using my local jeweler who a friend does bookkeeping for. Watch came back looking great. Keeps great time, has a decent power reserved of 36 hours or so. New crystal because the old one was fairly scratched up. I tried polishing it out with compound and got it looking pretty decent, but figured if they could put it a NOS crystal I'd be better off...so they did.
The problem I have though is that I can't get the Day window to adjust at the first crown position. I can roll the Date forward and the Day will change with it, but if I roll back it will not change the Day. Should it?
