Hi, the movement is the Lorsa 238A (French) as you can tell by the mobile stud carrier. That would place this watch in the 70's.

It is hardly surprising that the writing on the watch is all in french since it's a french watch. Although I can find nothing on WITT, I can tell you that the movement is a Cupillard Cal. 233, possibly in the derivation by FE (France Ebauches):

    bidfun-db Archiv: Uhrwerke: Cupillard 233-60 (FE 233-60)

The watch is probably from the early to mid seventies.

Nope sorry, that's not it. The position of the wheel train and also the stem release is wrong. Please read my post.

Yes, you are quite right. The two calibres are generally so similar (I wonder whether one influenced the other? In the end, both makers fused in the FE anyway.....) and I am generally more aware of the Cupillard movement.

Probably yes, because they are indeed very similar. I've serviced watches with both movements so I know where to look for ;)

Heh, an honest mistake; Cupillard was one of the founding members of FE (France Ebauche) and was the original designer of this movement. Lorsa joined FE later, and used the design for their own calibers; hence the rather obvious similarities.
