    Help with Landeron 248 Movement

    Hello,
I have recently purchased my first chronograph, the minutes hand resets to the 13th mark. Can someone please help me fix this.
I wouldn't mind sending it for repair but watch servicemen aren't that professional in Mumbai, India and I'd rather fix it myself.
    Thanks

Re: Help with Landeron 248 Movement

If the watch is entirely consistent in this behavious - i.e. the minute hand always resets to this, never mind what else happens - then there is nothing wrong with the movement but it's simply a matter of the minute hand being wrongly set. Just like a watch changing the date always at e.g. 1:00 am instead of midnight. Only if the minute hand "wanders" should there be anything wrong with the movement. If not, any watchmaker can and will remedy this as part of an ordinary service (or even on the fly if the watch has been serviced recently - although in that case, the question would be why and how it got into such a state!).

Thank you very much Mr. Richter
Its a beautiful Lacorda chronograph and the dial is immaculate. I'm going to get the small bits serviced and hopefully, take good care of it.

Question Landeron 248 movement info documents

    Hello,
I have a Landeron 248 movement watch. I cannot find a nice watchmaker for repair in Mumbai. Is it possible to study some guide on the movement and learn a bit and repair minor things on my own. If yes, then where can I find such guides/ books.
    Thanks,
    Vinay
