    Help with L'Aviation Militaire Watch

As usual I am puzzled by a watch which has Property of Military Aviation on the Dial and Automobile Regulatuer on the non magnetic movment.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this watch would have been used for by the French Military presumeably the Air Force.

Any clues as to who may have manufactured this piece or movement would also be appreciated.

    Many Thanks

    Neil

It is a pre-WWII (and maybe pre-WWI) dashboard watch... mounted so the crown sticks down through the bottom of the dash. I can't get much detail off the pics. Nice find!

Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

L'Aviation Militaire isn't the French Air Force, that was known as Établissement Militaire d'Aviation, then Aéronautique Militaire until 1933 then it became the Armée de l'Air.

    It's Belgian.
