Help Me Identify This Watch Partex

Hi, I have had this vintage watch for over 20 Years and cant find out anything about its history, to me it appears to be late 60s early 70s. The brand on the face is Partex, the back of the face and band are both stamped 835. does anyone know this brand or particular watch?

    Hi,

I believe the 835 would refer to the silver content in that very interesting band. Does seem to share some styling notes from the 60's. Those wrap around bands did have some fashion credence back in the 60's and 70's on ladies watches.

Partex has 2 listings in Mikrolisk. The first Pallas Deutsche seems most likely. The best I can make out is that they had been a sort of watch co-operative community back in the 70's. I guess they could have been jewellery artisans. Your piece could certainly fit that mould.

    Here is the other option...

Partex Pallas Deutsche Uhrenkooperation Pforzheim, Deutschland

    Others may know more.

Edit. Just had another look and I would add that there are legitimate watchmakers as part of the marketing co-operative. So less of a hippie 70's jewellery commune than I originally thought.

    Regards,

Thanks James, that makes sense. I collect vintage Danish jewellery and the watch is very much along those lines. Now to find out what jewellery designer, there are many famous designers from that period. Thanks again for the reply.
