HELP! With model and year? Vintage Omega Seamaster

    Hi!
I recently bumped into a vintage Omega Seamaster at a antique watchshop. Since I've been browsing the web for a vintagewatch like this one, before buying it, I asked the dealer if I could take some pictures. So here they are.

I've been at the Vintage Omega database without luck and I have found a model that is similiar to this one, however that one was a 1963 model. That got me confused since this watch doesnt have a omega-logo (horse) on the backcase (and those are after 1958?).

Well, I guess I need a lot of help with this one.

The backcase is empty except the words "Waterproof".
Inside the case its sais: 2891 2
    The number inside is 154 16 548
    267 and 17 Jewels

Hope for your guys to enlighten me

    Hi there,

    The case ref is 2891-2

Googling this showed this one.... which has been refinished in black!

    Omega ref #2891

The movement serial number dates the watch to 1967ish

    Omega Serial Numbers By Year...

    the movement cal is 267

bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Omega 267

and as seen on the link.... should date to around 1939 to 1963....

With the age to the dial.... it all look like a original 1950s Omega....

Thanks a lot for the quick answer Marc. So 1950s approx? That sounds fantastic.

But I have just one question (pretty new to this)... If the "The movement serial number dates the watch to 1967ish". Can it still be from the 50's?

    Thanks again...

Sorry... my bad! I meant to say 1957ish.......
